PC and Mac video game capabilities?

Okay for computer games, on the box or on the internet games have pc capabilities and it lists all of these things you need. Does that mean you cannot play this game on a mac or yes? If so, do they make games for macs??

If a game doesn't say it's mac compatible, then that means it is not. Yes, they do make mac compatible games, but you usually have to order them online, or go to an apple store. (Try macmall for an online resource). Some PC games will run on a mac using emulation like VMWare fusion. I know quake 3 runs well on fusion, but that's the only one I have tried.

are there any places to sell used Mac video games. (computer games for a mac computer??) if so, were are they and do they give a good deal???

You can sell anything legal on eBay: http://www.ebay.com

I'm not sure if Gamestop or EB Games will accept Mac games, but if they are classified as PC games they will. If the top of the game doesn't say something along the lines of "Only for PC" then Gamestop and EB Games will not accept them.

You could also try http://www.amazon.com and http://www.bestbuy.com if you still want to try to sell them on-line and eBay doesn't work.

I'm a gamer and im deciding on buying a mac or a windows based laptop but I dont want a mac if I won't be able to play games. Any suggestions? Thankss

There used to be a time when Mac users had a limited choice when it came to games, but all that's changing. Aspyr are a company that specialise in porting popular games to the Mac platform, giving Mac users more choice than ever before. Overall, there still isn't as many games available for Mac as there is for PC, but over time that will change.

Is the Mac book Air a good college computer?

Only apple product I have is used is an iphone 3g.

I'm assuming the iphone is a tiny sample of what a mac could do, if this is correct macs are probably amazing..

What I'm looking for is portability,organizing, document work, music and casual web-surfing blogs, forums.etc (no video games)

If you're determined to get a Mac, the Macbook Pro 13 is better for everything except portability. The Macbook Air drops features found in the Macbook Pros in favour of extreme portability, but for a college computer the Macbook Pro 13 is already very light. For $300 less, you can get an internal DVD drive, better processor, better graphics card, larger hard drive, more RAM, more ports, and lastly, about twice the battery life.

One more thing. Make sure your college program doesn't require something like AutoCAD, which is Windows-only. If this happens to you, you'll have to install Windows.

What are the most popular video games among 10-15 year olds?

I am an academic who is involved in a project that concerns attitudes to inter/action in video/computer games, and we want to prepare for discussions in class. Do you know what games that people in this age group is is most likely to play and to know about? I'm interested in both boys and girls, multi player/single player and any platform, although PC and Mac games will be most helpful for practical reasons.

They're most likely to be casual gamers that play games that are easy to pick up and jump into. Your run-of-the-mill FPS games like Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, or Halo, or other games that follow a simple Point-and-Push-Button interface.

Where can I download a Nintendo DS emulator?

I need an working Nintendo DS emulator, but I don't need No$gba emulator, I allready have it and I can't activate AR, so please give me the site or the link where I could download an emulator, or at least tell me how to play with the dsemu 0.4.10, DeSmuME 0.7.2 or ideas emulator. Just when I open the NDS file nothing happens, so please help me.

You can use an NDS Emulator - the mouse acts as the stylus

I use the iDeaS emulator
some games work with one emulator and other games work with the other emulators

the reason the emulator doesnt work is becuase it needs a pretty powerful computer to use
my computer is good enough to make it work around 30 fps depending on the game
also with the iDeaS you have to click the run button the green play button (just putting this in in case you havent realised that)

personnaly i prefer a n64 emulator - project 64
